The release is provided in several directories as a complete dataset and also as divided by logical groupings.<\/p>\n<h5>What\u2019s included in this release?<\/h5>\n<p>As of November 4, 2024, this full release incorporates genomic, transcript, and protein data containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">497,549,107 records, including <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">377,783,847 proteins<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">66,987,567 RNAs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">Sequences from 159,324 organisms\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h5><b>Lineage updates for prokaryotes<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/2024\/10\/02\/ncbi-taxonomy-updates-prokaryotes\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-227-20241114\">Lineage updates<\/a> affecting all prokaryotes are in progress. This affects the lineage shown in the ORGANISM block of the flatfile records.<\/p>\n<h5><b>Genome contamination reports<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>Comprehensive <a href=\"https:\/\/ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/2024\/09\/24\/public-reports-fcs-tool-results\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-227-20241114\">reports of contamination<\/a> found in prokaryote and eukaryote genomes are now available for both GenBank and RefSeq genomes.
