The new, December 2008 public release of the NCBI C++ Toolkit is here:

It includes source archives for UNIX, MS Windows and MacOS. 

More details are provided here (please READ-IT, as it gives a good view 
not only of what has changed, but also of what we have in the Toolkit

N.B. These Release Notes are not in the C++ Toolkit Book yet (should get
