<p>One of our most important responsibilities is to protect the hard-earned money you pay into Social Security, which is why we have zero tolerance for fraud. We take fraud claims seriously and investigate them thoroughly. We respond quickly and decisively to prevent and detect fraud. For example, we monitor transactions to identify actions that demonstrate an intent to defraud the American people. We will continue to innovate and develop anti-fraud initiatives because any level of fraud is unacceptable.</p>

<p>Our Public Service Announcement provides information to help you understand the ongoing nationwide telephone scam.* The video features a message from our Commissioner, Andrew Saul. Along with our Office of the Inspector General, we continue to receive reports about fraudulent phone calls, text messages, and emails. The callers falsely claim that they are government employees. Scammers play on emotions like fear to convince you to provide personal information or money in cash, wire transfers, or gift cards. Fraudsters also email fake documents to get you to comply with their demands.</p>

<p>“I want every American to know that if a suspicious caller states there is a problem with their Social Security number or account, they should hang up and never give the caller money or personal information. People should then go online to <a href="https://oig.ssa.gov/">report</a> the scam call to Social Security,” said Commissioner Saul. You can report these scams to our <a href="https://oig.ssa.gov/">Office of the Inspector General</a>.</p>

<p>Learn how to protect yourself and report any suspicious calls or emails right away. If you have been a victim of one of these scams, please do not be embarrassed. <p>I have a cup of problems with my disability case basically after the judge denied instead I had no disability after you completely overturned everything to termination services said about my disability that I did make above SGA that I should be paid all the way back to July of 2015 the judge ignored everything did let me argue will basically December of 2018 I ask for a copy of my folder and also ask for a copy of the audio from the court case OK were talking high C 2018 talking 3 years in 4 months and guess what I still I still have not received by digital folder or the audio copy and the next you know stage after the judge is of course the appeals court will they of course when ahead and oh discount state with what the judge said because I didn’t have any new evidence or I didn’t have any evidence to go over because nobody send it to me after 6 attempts now how is that even fair that’s were all your evidence is that that’s where you find that the mistakes you know I just don’t understand it this is going on for 6 years Ever since I moved to Tennessee OK all the disability that I’ve had that I contested for OK that been prescribed medications for have jist subsequently disappeared But I still have to take the same medications because of these disabilities that I have had double sided conservatory where I wasn’t able to walk for 7 months on my lower lumbar I have surgery scheduled for Monday for cubicle stenosis and carpal tunnel stenosis. Fired from Verizon basically according to determination services wrongfully because of my just because of discrimination against my disability but they found that I had this abilities that I did not make over S Ge sold actually roll back my opening I guess initial date because I started the file in July of 2016 they rolled back to July of 2015 because from that date All the way up until even today I haven’t worked and even though I worked a little bit I was on 3 short term disability that were proved by verye are approved by met life while that So determination services worded this way he qualifies because he didn’t surpass SGA he did work but however he devore worked longer than 3 months in did not surpass SGA so were rolling his onset date back to the 1st date of his 1st disability leave because I did not make above SGA from the July of 2015 till December of 2081 the judge made the decision so there should have been A payment there you know I just don’t I don’t understand it in information not to build get something that says it takes about 10 to 12 days to get your folder in audio To not give me that and disco heaven basically do my peels trial without giving me any evidence to even look at I mean the judge messed up in the case for one thing because when he mentioned how much I made in 2016 he added everything together I was fired so for 1K vacation sick days personal days all that stuff in a big bonus at the attitude 1015 was all added into my money’s well vacation in all that stuff does not count against S GAS Ga is only when you go into work in clock in that’s why a special department Grabs every weekly pay check in goes over that and that’s why they decided after the evidence Then the 12 hunderd or whatever dial 1250 a month or whatever it i. For some reason when I move to Tennessee all my disability disappeared the spinal stenosis in the call the degenerative spinal disease disappeared even though 3 months after he made his decision the judge I was laid up for 7 months with double sayantika from the psygnosis which he said there was no evidence an hour CT scans that showed stenosis so magine what an emere I will show that just doesn’t appear overnight I had since 2014 And he says that there’s no evidence even though getting there’s no evidence for anxiety even though I’ve been prescribed anxiety medication for 12 years and if you read Just the 3 applications for a leave of absence to met life she mentions my anxiety 161 times but the judge says there’s no proof I have anxiety I don’t know what is proof. I was tested I was diagnosed I’m being prescribed this for over 12 years and if I don’t have disability than me and my doctor need to be in gaol for fraud so I don’t understand this whole thing and they supposed to be looking out for some nationals be trying to deny people so I put money into this program a case there was a moment OK it was basic attacks free loan given to the US government in case something happens in something did happen And I haven’t worked in over 6 years now I am still dealing with this What can I do I had a judge that basically did not do his job He didn’t reference any my doctors in any any reasons as to why he agreed or disagreed with my doctors the only thing he messages me and the allegations I make he doesn’t measure my doctor not once To me it’s definitely discrimination no doubt about it I don’t know if I need to move back to South Carolina and get a transfer there but I don’t think that should be necessary Add reach out to my former Congressman Lindsey Graham and he said he be more than happy to help me but I would have to be in South Carolina so that means I would have to leave my wife here move back to South Carolina forever who knows how long because Tennessee dropped ball. It’s really sad is I have one spinal surgeon who’s on surgery on me OK in that information was given to us correctly in you I still requested information from a doctor that I never been to in my life so you never gotten my you know surgery information at all because you been trying to get the information from the wrong doctor who I don’t even see I don’t know I don’t know who I talk to now by AA C is gone out of control at him just tired His I just didn’t know that I would become this might my trip to Tennessee which actually turned Just nothing but discrimination over and over again. So anybody please reach out tell me something that I can do thank you</p>

<p>Good Morning, My name is Y. Stevenson and I wrote a letter last year about the fraudulent activity on my fictive mom bank account concerning her monthly payments totaling up to $8,500. I was prompt to be her auth. payee. We reported the fraud to SSA and now they are taking her money from her monthly payments stating it was overpayment. This a unacceptable because she being victimized the 3rd time because was a victim in this situation. Please help her also the case is still being investigated by states attorney. The Joppa Rd SSA is doing this and the Belair Rd SSA where the fraud was reported and now since I moved the Joppa Rd was informed however, they are still taking her money</p>
