John D. Halamka is the chief information officer of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, chief information officer at Harvard Medical School, chairman of the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN), chair of the US Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HIT-SP)/co-chair of the HIT Standards Committee, and a practicing emergency medicine physician. Halamka will address the National Library of Medicine role in advancing health care information technology in the future.<br /><br />
The Lecture will be recorded and broadcasted live on the Web to MLA members and the NIH community at <a href="//videocast.nih.gov">//videocast.nih.gov</a>. A coffee/tea reception sponsored by the Friends of the National Library of Medicine will follow the Lecture at the Lister Hill Center lobby.
