M.<br \/>\nAt the examination of the President at 12 m. to-day the temperature was 100.2\u00b0; pulse, 120; respiration, 24.<br \/>\nAt 11.30 he had a severe chill, lasting half an hour, followed by perspiration. Since the noon examination there has been a gradual fall of temperature, with diminished frequency of pulse and respiration, so that at the evening examination the temperature was 98\u00b0; pulse, 102; respiration, 18.<br \/>\nHe has slept most of the time during the afternoon and has taken his nourishment at proper intervals.
