IH Awardees have been notified that the NIH Public Access Policy is permanent, per the <a href="//grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-09-071.html">Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts</a>. The <a href="//publicaccess.nih.gov">NIH Pubic Access Policy</a> Web site was updated to reflect this. Additional updates to the Web site based on this information include:

<li>The <a href="//publicaccess.nih.gov/FAQ.htm">Public Access FAQ</a> B1, "To what papers does the NIH Public Access Policy apply?" has been updated.</li>

<li>The training slides at <a href="//publicaccess.nih.gov/communications.htm">//publicaccess.nih.gov/communications.htm</a> have been updated accordingly. These slides are intended to be downloaded and modified to support institutional efforts to train authors and comply with the Policy.</li>
