Reviewers are anonymous to authors.</p></div><div id="GRrevprocesses.Updates"><h2 id="_GRrevprocesses_Updates_">Updates</h2><p>Every four to five years, <i>GeneReview</i> chapter author(s) and <i>GeneReviews</i> editorial staff undertake a comprehensive review of chapter content and format to ensure its currency and continuing clinical relevance to diagnosis, patient care, and genetic counseling.</p></div><div id="GRrevprocesses.Revisions"><h2 id="_GRrevprocesses_Revisions_">Revisions</h2><p>Time-critical revisions to a <i>GeneReview</i> are initiated by the editorial staff or the author(s) whenever a clinically significant development (e.g., identification of a gene, advances in treatment) needs to be published.</p></div><div id="bk_toc_contnr"></div></div></div>
