<p>The purpose of this Notice is to remind the extramural community of the flexibilities available to domestic and international applicants and recipients impacted by natural disasters and emergencies, to include global conflicts. NIH is deeply concerned for the health and safety of people, animals, and the biomedical enterprise due to the significant impact on those affected.</p><p>A summary of all the flexibilities available for impacted applicants and recipients are provided in <a href="https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-171.html">NOT-OD-23-171 Reminder: NIH Natural Disaster Policies</a>. The NIH website on <a href="https://grants.nih.gov/grants/natural_disasters.htm">Extramural Response to Natural Disasters </a>also provides a list of available resources, including guidance on <a href="https://olaw.nih.gov/resources/disaster-planning.htm">animal welfare</a> and <a href="https://grants.nih.gov/policy/humansubjects.htm">human safety issues</a>. </p>
