Certain institutions may close due to concerns of 2009 H1N1 flu exposure/transmission. The usual NIH practice for such circumstances will apply. Electronic and paper applications that are submitted late because organization/institutional closures for flu concerns must include a cover letter noting the reasons for the delay. It is not necessary to get permission in advance for such delays in grant application submissions. The delay is only for the number of business days that an applicant organization/institution is closed.</p>
