These are also in the right-hand sidebar of the <em>Links to other resources<\/em> section.\u00a0 \u00a0In the case of genes that don’t have a RefSeq summary,\u00a0 we use\u00a0 the textual gene descriptions from the Alliance of Genome resources.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Drosphila<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/gene\/42504?utm_source=blog&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=gene&utm_term=AGR&utm_content=20220210link2\">slmb gene record<\/a> shows the enhancements provided by the Alliance of Genome Resources.\u00a0 The gene_info.gz files on the\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/ftp.ncbi.nih.gov\/gene\/DATA\/\">Gene FTP<\/a> site also include AllianceGenome references in the dbXrefs column.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NCBI Gene now has descriptive information about genes from the Alliance of Genome Resources for organisms including Caenorhabditis elegans, Danio rerio, Drosophila melanogaster, Homo sapiens, Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus, and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
