You can access RefSeq data through\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/datasets\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-223-20240311\">NCBI Datasets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5>What\u2019s included in this release?<\/h5>\n<p>As of March 4, 2024, this full release incorporates genomic, transcript, and protein data containing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">425,594,654 records<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">316,329,937 proteins<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">60,886,133 RNAs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 17px;\">sequences from 147,591 organisms\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The release is provided in several directories as a complete dataset and divided by logical groupings.<\/p>\n<h5><b>New rat assembly and annotation<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>The Genome Reference Consortium has released a new rat assembly, <a href=\"https:\/\/genomeref.blogspot.com\/2024\/02\/grcr8-new-rat-reference-assembly-is.html\">GRCr8<\/a>. Annotation Release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/genome\/annotation_euk\/Rattus_norvegicus\/GCF_036323735.1-RS_2024_02\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-223-20240311\">GCF_036323735.1-RS_2024_02<\/a> contains the annotated genes, transcripts and proteins in the new assembly. Curated RefSeq Select transcripts are available for 80% of protein-coding genes. The annotation products are available in the sequence databases and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/genomes\/all\/annotation_releases\/10116\/GCF_036323735.1-RS_2024_02\/\">FTP site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5><b>Updated mouse genome annotation\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>Annotation Release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/genome\/annotation_euk\/Mus_musculus\/GCF_000001635.27-RS_2024_02\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-223-20240311\">GCF_000001635.27-RS_2024_02<\/a> is an update of NCBI Mus musculus Annotation Release 109. The annotation products are available in the sequence databases and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/genomes\/all\/annotation_releases\/10090\/GCF_000001635.27-RS_2024_02\/\">FTP site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5><b>Annotation of the Asian tiger mosquito<\/b><\/h5>\n<p>Annotation release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/genome\/annotation_euk\/Aedes_albopictus\/GCF_035046485.1-RS_2024_01\/?utm_source=ncbi_insights&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=refseq-release-223-20240311\">GCF_035046485.1-RS_2024_01<\/a> is now available for Aedes albopictus (Asian tiger mosquito) assembly, AalbF5.
