[Utilities-announce] HTTPS Test on Monday, Oct 24

NCBI will be conducting another HTTPS test on Monday, October 24 from 1:00-4:00 PM EDT (17:00-20:00 UTC).

This test will mainly affect software that uses NCBI API's (e.g. the E-utilities) or NCBI toolkits (e.g. C++, SRA).

In addition, we will be redirecting FTP transfers made over http (e.g. http://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/...)

If you develop software that makes any of these requests, please check your software during the test window for performance problems.

If you use software that makes these requests, and experience problems during the test period, please contact your software vendor for assistance.
