The Library has recently acquired a very rare pharmacopeia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nicol\u00f2 Gervasi\u2019s Antidotarium Panormitanum<\/em><\/a> (Palermo book of antidotes) published in Palermo, Italy in 1670, is divided into 30 sections and describes the preparation of a variety of remedies.\u00a0 Most of the remedies are prepared from plants, however, the author also includes sections discussing the medicinal properties of gemstones and minerals.<\/p>\n
