Definition

A benign or malignant papillary neoplasm that arises anywhere in the ductal system of the breast. It is characterized by the presence of fibrovascular structures lined by epithelial proliferations. This category includes intraductal papilloma and papillary ductal carcinoma in situ. [from NCI]
