[Utilities-announce] NCBI SOAP EUtility updated

Dear SOAP EUtilities Users,



On July 1, 2015 the NCBI SOAP EUtility will no longer be supported by NCBI. Please consider using the other EUtilities to retrieve NCBI data (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK25497/)



In addition, the PubMed schema has been updated. Projects that access PubMed via the SOAP interface should be updated and rebuilt.



Changes to efetch_pubmed.xsd:

- in <Author> element: <Affiliation> element was removed and <AffiliationInfo> was added.

- "UNLABELLED" value was removed from the list for the NlmCategory attribute.



Note: Currently, the Author/Affiliation element is present in the XSD for backward compatibility, but it is not present in the PubMed XML. Eventually this element will also be removed from the XSD.
