[C++ Toolkit ANNOUNCE] Retirement of six NCBI C toolkit converters

As of December 31, 2019, NCBI will retire the following six C Toolkit executables. Please update any software dependent on these tools as indicated below.
asnval – validates ASN.1 files
Replace with this C++ tool: asnvalidate
asndisc – evaluates single or multiple ASN.1 files for common submission errors
Replace with this C++ tool: asndisc_cpp
asn2gb – converts ASN.1 sequence files to GenBank/GenPept flatfile records
Replace with this C++ tool: asn2flat
tbl2asn – automates the creation of sequence records, generates .sqn files for submission to GenBank
Replace with this C++ tool: table2asn
insdseqget – returns INSDSeq XML for an accession
Replace by using the E-utility EFetch and/or EDirect: https://eutils.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
sbtedit – allows creation of submission templates
Replace by using the GenBank Submission Template on the NCBI Submission Portal: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genbank/tbl2asn2/#Template
