Table 14Studies excluded from the health economic review

ReferenceReason for exclusion
Sejean 2005 74This study was assessed as partially applicable with very serious limitations. The study took a non-UK perspective, and quality of life was not reported directly from patients. Furthermore, the analysis was based on multiple clinical studies (mostly cohort or case-series studies) that have been excluded from this review. In addition, it was considered that there were some assumptions that were likely to be biasing the results, namely that there is no resource use impact from progression, only that some people would then have surgery. Therefore this study was selectively excluded.
