Together with the removal of the Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline (PGAP) is making NCBI far less useful to its users.

The popset is one of the most useful features–I use it all the time!

Comment on Preview Upcoming Improvements to PubMed Central (PMC) by Alex Pico https://ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2024/03/14/preview-pmc-improvements/comment-page-1/#comment-143170 Wed, 16 Oct 2024 22:49:43 +0000 https://ncbiinsights.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/?p=12992#comment-143170 Congrats on the roll-out today. I noticed that this URL pattern no longer works. Is this a bug or expected change? Is there a new URL pattern for article figure images?

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6365454/bin/fnins-13-00025-g0002.jpg

I see that it is first redirected to (note the shift of “pmc”):

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6365454/bin/fnins-13-00025-g0002.jpg

And then this URL returns a 404 🙁
