Dr. Pikuleva’s research focuses on the connection between cholesterol and retinal disease, and how pharmacologic modulation impacts cholesterol turnover in the brain. Her lecture, titled “Cholesterol and the retina: fundamental processes and clinical implications,” expands further on this ongoing research and the novel discoveries resulting from such studies.
