## Release day ## Release day
When the 2.0 CEJST is ready to release to the public, we can change the Instead of changing screeningtool.geoplatform.gov DNS, we are going
screeningtool.geoplatform.gov domain name to point to the new frontend to deploy using AWS Console changes that we can directly control.
Cloudfront distribution instead of the one that it currently goes to. With screeningtool.geoplatform.gov is going to point to the exact same Cloudfront
this one change, after the DNS change propagates, users online will see the distribution throughout. We are going to accomplish the deployment by
new frontend website which is configured to display the new backend data. switching that Cloudfront distribution to point to a different S3 bucket.
Here are the steps to make that change:
1. Go to the production Cloudfront distribution
https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/v4/home?region=us-east-1#/distributions/ED03LPVC4OXSW
2. Go to the "Origins" tab
3. Click "Create origin" to add a new origin to that CloudFront distribution
4. For the "Origin domain" choose the new bucket
ceq-cejst-2-website.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com
5. For "Origin path" use /justice40-tool/main. The rest of the options can
be left at their defaults.
6. Go to the "Behaviors" tab. Choose to "Edit" the "Default" behavior.
7. Under the dropdown for "Origin and origin groups" choose the origin you
just created. Click "Save".
8. Go to the "Invalidations" tab. Click "Create invalidation". Use and
object path of "/*". Click "Create" and wait for the status to change to
"Completed".
9. Wait up to a few minutes for the changes to make it to all the CloudFront
edge locations.
