Hunter joined the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) in November 2024 as Vice President and Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO). In this role, she oversees DFC’s human resources strategy, HR information systems and analytics, and human capital programs. Her efforts align workforce initiatives with the agency’s mission to deliver financial solutions to critical global challenges facing the developing world.</p><p>With over 20 years of HR experience across federal and private sectors, Jamesa is a progressive leader. Prior to joining DFC, she served as a Human Capital Principal for the MITRE Corporation, consulting on strategic workforce initiatives for federal agencies. She also held roles as CHCO for the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where she led HR strategy for both domestic and international staff, and as Deputy CHCO for the EOP, Office of Management and Budget, overseeing workforce planning and talent development. Her experience includes roles as Director of Human Resources for the U.S. Department of Commerce, First Responder Network Authority, as well as in program policy positions with the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health.</p><p>Jamesa has actively participated in federal councils and contributed to leadership development. She served as Chair of the Small Agency Human Resources Council and was a member of the inaugural Executive Steering Committee for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, Chief Human Capital Officers Council. Her career extends into higher education, where she provided leadership training for student affairs professionals at American University, The George Washington University, and the University of Maryland, and in technical solutions as an Applications Consultant for Ellucian (formerly Datatel).</p><p>Jamesa is dedicated to fostering a culture that prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth, which she views as essential to organizational success. She is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, holds a Human Capital Strategist designation from the Human Capital Institute, and earned an M.A. in Education Policy and Leadership from Miami University (Ohio) and a B.A. in English from Hampton University.</p></div>
