<div class="field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field--item"><p>Amanda Burke serves as the Acting Vice President of External Affairs at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). In this role, she led the development and launch of DFC’s global brand and oversees its public relations, marketing, and outreach strategies. Under her leadership, the Office of External Affairs has built dedicated teams for congressional affairs, press relations, and stakeholder engagement. She also manages the agency’s communications and strategic engagement with key stakeholders.</p><p>With nearly 20 years of experience in international development, foreign policy, and public affairs Ms. Burke previously worked in the Office of Development Credit at the U.S. Agency for International Development—an office that later merged with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to form DFC—as well as the Millennium Challenge Corporation. In these roles, she managed media relations, high-profile events, public engagement, and crisis communications. She also served as the Communications Manager at the Department of Defense, where her media strategies earned top-tier press coverage. </p><p>Ms. Burke holds a B.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University and George Mason University. During her studies, she interned with the Embassy of Australia and the Office of Congressman Joe Wilson in Washington, D.C. She is also an alumna of George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, a Certified Protocol Officer from the Protocol School of Washington, and a member of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Women’s Global Leadership Program.</p></div>
