Figure 2. Summary of Percent Symptom Score Change at 6 and 12 Months (Text description)

Figure 2 is a bar graph providing a visual representation of the change in symptom scores, based on the percentage of change over baseline. The symptom scale ranges from 0 to 100, with a lower score indicating fewer symptoms.

The X-axis of the graph is a measure of patient percentages, while the Y-axis measures the percentage of change in symptom scores, from the baseline. Blue vertical bars represent the percentage of patients found to have experienced a change 6 months after the procedure, and red bars depict the percentage of patients found to have experienced a change 12 months after the procedure.

In all, more than 60 percent of the patients had a greater than 50 percent improvement in their score at both 6 and 12 months. The graph shows 6.02% of the patients had a worse symptom score 6 months after the procedure, and 4.90% still had a worse symptom score 12 months after the procedure. Moreover, 0.40% of the patients experienced no change in the symptom score after 6 months, decreasing to 0.24% after 12 months. Another 3.05% of the patients experienced a symptom score improvement of less than 10% after 6 months, dropping to 2.09% after 12 months. Some 2.81% of the patients saw their symptom scores rise 10% to 20% in the 6 months after the procedure, and that percentage of patients rose to 3.61% after 12 months. The percentage of patients experiencing a 20% to 30% rise in their symptom scores was 4.74% after 6 months, decreasing to 3.69% after 12 months. Conversely, the percentage of patients experiencing a 30% to 40% rise in their symptom scores was 4.18% after 6 months, increasing to 4.66% after 12 months. The percentage of patients experiencing a 40% to 50% rise in their symptom scores was 6.10% after 6 months, increasing to 6.67% after 12 months. Another 9.32% of the patients experienced an symptom score improvement of 50% to 60% after 6 months, dropping to 8.84% after 12 months. The percentage of patients experiencing a 60% to 70% rise in their symptom scores was 11.97% after 6 months, decreasing slightly to 11.41% after 12 months. The percentage of patients experiencing a 70% to 80% rise in their symptom scores was 13.41% after 6 months, decreasing to 11.97% after 12 months. Another 15.42% of the patients experienced an 80% to 90% increase in their symptom scores after 6 months, but the numbers decreased slightly to 15.26% after 12 months. Finally, 22.17% of the patients experienced an increase in their symptom scores of more than 90% after 6 months, increasing to 24.02% after 12 months.
