<h2>Speaker Biosketches</h2>
<a name="Jenckes" id="Jenckes"></a>
<p><strong>Mollie W. Jenckes</strong><br /> <em>Johns Hopkins School of Medicine</em></p>
<p>Ms. Jenckes is a faculty member
at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine with appointments in the Divisions of
General Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She has substantial
experience in researching hospital disaster responses and she coordinated the
Johns Hopkins Evidence-based Practice team that developed AHRQ supported
projects in this area. These include the <em>Evaluation of Hospital Disaster
Drills: A Module-based Approach</em> (2004) and the subsequent abridged modules
published in 2008. Ms. Jenckes has also achieved her Post-Masters in Disaster
Preparedness providing a broad range of exposure to federal agencies and other
agencies active in developing standards and procedures for disaster response.
She has also completed modules on personal/safety disaster response for
Primedia Health Care and authored more than 40 peer reviewed publications. Ms.
Jenckes holds a Bachelor of Arts from Towson State University, a Bachelor of
Science in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, and a
Master's in Health Science from Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and

<a name="Music" id="Music"></a>
<p><strong>F. Christy Music</strong><br /> <em>Office
of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense &amp;</em><br /><em>Americas ' Security
Affairs, Department of Defense</em></p>
<p>Francesca Christy Music is the
Program Director for Health and Medical Support in the Office of the Assistant
Secretary of Defense (OASD) for Homeland Defense &amp; Americas' Security
Affairs (HD&amp;ASA), Homeland Defense and Civil Support Deputate. She
integrates the Department of Defense's (DoD) health and medical programs with
federal and international agencies in support of the Department's homeland
defense and homeland security preparedness and response activities. She leads
federal disaster, public health and medical response policy and planning, and
provides operational response in such events. In addition, she serves as a
biodefense subjectmatter-expert, supporting policy and Departmental operational
activities. From 2006 to August 2008, Ms. Music was an ANSER, Inc. Program
Analyst, within OASD (HD&amp;ASA) as the Senior Advisor for Health and Medical
Civil Support. Ms. Music retired from the Navy after 22 years of service as a Medical Service
Corps Captain in February, 2006. Ms. Music holds two</p>
<p>Baccalaureate Degrees, one in
Microbiology from the University of Maryland and another in Medical Technology
from Salve Regina College, Newport, Rhode Island. She has also received a
Master's Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from Southeastern Massachusetts University and an additional Master's Degree in Biological Sciences from Bowling Green State University.</p><p class="size2"><a href="index.html#speakers">Return to Contents</a></p>
<a name="Notobartolo" id="Notobartolo"></a>
<p><strong>Cindy Notobartolo</strong><br /><em>Suburban Hospital Healthcare Systems, Bethesda, Maryland</em></p>
<p>Cindy Notobartolo is the
Corporate Director of Emergency/ Trauma, Safety &amp; Security Service at
Suburban Hospital Healthcare Systems in Bethesda, Maryland where she oversees
seven departments. She has over 25 years of extensive healthcare administration
experience including direct care and clinical supervision. She has a vast
knowledge of Emergency Department and Critical Care divisional oversight and is
a recognized leader in the field of Emergency Management at the local, state
and national level. Her notable emergency preparedness accomplishments include:
founding Board Member for the Bethesda Hospitals' Emergency Preparedness
Partnership who received a $13 million dollar appropriation for an emergency
preparedness model that is transportable across the United States; assistant
chair of the Montgomery County collaborative Task Force on Bioterrorism and
Emergency Preparedness; awarded &quot;Highly Prepared Trauma Center&quot; from the
National Foundation for Trauma Care. Ms. Notobartolo received her Bachelor of
Science degree in Nursing from Point Loma University, San Diego, California.</p><p class="size2"><a href="index.html#speakers">Return to Contents</a></p>
<a name="Rich" id="Rich"></a>
<p><strong>Tom Rich</strong><br /><em>Abt
Associates</em></p>
<p>Tom Rich is a Senior Associate
at Abt Associates. He has over 20 years of experience designing and
implementing decision support systems in the areas of emergency preparedness
and response, law enforcement, and school safety. For AHRQ, he directed the
development of the <em>Hospital Surge Model</em>, which estimates hospitals
resources arising from different weapons of mass destruction attacks; the <em>Mass
Evacuation Transportation Model</em>, which estimates the transportation
resources needed to move patients from evacuating to receiving facilities; and
the <em>Emergency Preparedness Resource Inventory (EPRI)</em>, which enables
states and regions to compile an inventory of resources needed to respond to
disasters and other emergencies.</p><p class="size2"><a href="index.html#speakers">Return to Contents</a></p>
