<h3>Figure 3: HAvBED Data Elements</h3>
<p><img src="havbed2fig3.gif" width="564" height="395" alt="Figure 3: HAvBED Data Elements shows a screen shot of a summary of the HAvBED data elements for manual hospital data entry. The AHA Survey numbers are preloaded for each institution from their AHA Annual Hospital Survey data, which may be updated if necessary. Users can enter 'available beds' by type, including Adult ICU, Medical/Surgical/Burn/Pediatric ICU, Pediatrics, Psychiatric, Airborne Infection Isolation, and Operating Rooms. For each type, users can enter a number under 'current,' '24 hour,' '72 hour,' and 'AHA Survey,' and can add remarks. Additional fields ask for emergency department status, mass decontamination status, and ventilators available." /></p>
