<h2>¿Cómo se evalúa la calidad del servicio?</h2>
|
|
<p>Cada vez es más frecuente que grupos públicos y
|
|
privados desarrollen y usen medidas de evaluación de
|
|
la calidad del servicio. Las evaluaciones se usan para
|
|
revisar y mejorar la calidad de los planes de atención médica,
|
|
los médicos, los hospitales y otros proveedores de atención
|
|
médica. Las calificaciones del consumidor y las medidas de
|
|
desempeño son los dos tipos principales de evaluaciones de la
|
|
calidad del servicio.</p>
|
|
<ul><li><strong>Las calificaciones de los consumidores</strong> le dicen lo que
|
|
piensan otras personas como usted acerca de su atención
|
|
médica. Las calificaciones de los consumidores de los
|
|
planes médicos pueden resultar de una encuesta llamada
|
|
<a href="http://www.cahps.ahrq.gov/">Consumer Assessment of Health Plans</a> (CAHPS®). La encuesta fue desarrollada por la Agency for
|
|
Healthcare Research and Quality. Las preguntas de
|
|
CAHPS® le piden a las personas que describan la calidad
|
|
de sus propios planes médicos. Sus respuestas pueden

|

HEDIS, the Health Plan Employer Data and Information

Set (el conjunto de información y datos de quienes

desempeño que clasifica la calidad de los HMOs y otros

|
planes de medicina prepagada. Un ejemplo de una medida
|
|
HEDIS es si los proveedores de atención médica en el plan
