Step 7. Specific Data Elements for "G001. Geographic Identifiers" on the 'Select Data Elements' Web page from the U.S. Census Bureau's Web Site

Clicking 'Go' at the bottom of the 'Select Data Elements' Web page (Step 6) opens another scroll list below the list of tables which shows the specific data elements for the selected table.

Geographic Identifiers, there are two subheadings, Record Codes and Geographic Area Codes. For Record Codes there are two boxes that may be checked, Summary Level and Geographic Component. For Geographic Area Codes, there are four visible boxes that may be checked, Region, Division, State (Census), and State (FIPS).
