Planning Outcomes

Text Description is below the image.

  • Ventilator-Allocation Protocol.
  • Statewide Emergency Medical Services Workgroup.
  • Cross-Departmental Statute & Regulations Workgroup.
  • Pandemic "grief" training for managers and supervisors.
  • Creation of a statewide ethics consortium.

Speaker Notes:

Because of the work done as a result of the AHRQ tools, Missouri has been able to create the following tools:

  • We are in the process of finalizing our ventilator-allocation protocol. Once this occurs we will be sharing with focus groups around the State to get feedback on the document.
  • Because of the discussion on pre-hospital issues in the mass medical care document, we had convened a statewide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) group to address the following topics: statewide mutual aid agreements, interoperable communications, maximizing the use of EMS personnel, 911 service gaps.
  • A cross-departmental group (Health, Mental Health, Social Services, Labor, Professional Registration) has been meeting to pre-identify State statutes and regulations that will need to be waived by Executive Order during a mass casualty event.
  • We are working with the Department of Mental Health to create just-in-time grief training for our managers and supervisors. The training would enable managers to help staff cope with the loss of coworkers during a pandemic.
