Figure 3: Command Staff and General Staff

Figure 3, the Command Staff and General Staff flow chart, shows the Hospital Incident Command System Incident Management Team Structure. The box at the top of the chart is labeled 'Incident Commander.' That box is connected by a line to four boxes beneath it: 'Public Information Officer' and 'Liaison Officer' on the left and 'Safety Officer' and Medical/Technical Specialist' on the right. A line from 'Incident Commander' goes between the two sets of boxes to a horizontal bar below them, with four boxes: Operations Section Chief, Planning Section Chief, Logistics Section Chief, and Financial/Administrative Section Chief.

Details of the General Staff positions are given in Figures 4-7.
